COLOR & YOU

This section puts ICC in the users perspective. It basically helps you to determine when, why and how to approach to ICC Color Management. There is few different workflows:

Workflow 1: You are creating files and producing them in you environment - you do not depend on other designers or printers. This is the environment that everybody dreams about; color can be controled from start to finish and results are very predictable.

Workflow 2: You are receiving files from clients and producing them in your environment. Problem you are having is that you don't know how to output you files (which profiles to use). Most likely you'll print file as it is. This is one of the biggiest problems in the graphics industry. Part of the problem is clients file itself. Usually there is no color infomation in/with file. This means that they did not prepare them well for the output. Or, there are cases when client does include color information but you are not utilizing ICC so you print them as they are again.
