If your Color management is up and running you can set you workflow to produce colors which match process specification: It is this simple; get yourself (and your clients) a PANTONE® Process Colors book and load profiles for SWOP standard. If you pick color in the book it will come out as very close match on your device. However - do not expect deep vivid colors in this workflow. But if you wonder how to print your clients job - go for this one.
